Having never visited the Bahamas or Jamaica, I’ve always envisioned these destinations as the epitome of romance and relaxation. They are famous for their exclusive, all-inclusive, adults-only resorts that combine idyllic beaches with luxurious amenities. With this inspiration in mind, I set out to find a resort in Florida that could deliver a similar experience. That’s when I discovered The Bungalows Key Largo. The rave reviews and stunning photos of the property immediately captured my attention, and it didn’t take long for me to book a stay.
The journey from West Palm Beach to Key Largo is a little over two hours, but the drive along the Florida Turnpike was part of the adventure. As we neared the Keys, the scenery transformed into a breathtaking mosaic of aquamarine waters, lush greenery, and endless skies. The iconic Overseas Highway, stretching across islands and open waters, felt like a portal to another world. The Florida Keys’ landscape is truly unique, with its vibrant mangroves, tranquil beaches, and a laid-back island atmosphere that immediately soothes the soul.
