Don Ramon Restaurante: Landmark of Cuban food and culture

Dina Rubio, owner and general manager of Don Ramon Restaurante Cuban on Dixie Hwy, West Palm Beach, speaks to One on One!, a monthly video series produced by WPB Magazine.

Don Ramon Restaurante Cubano has been offering some of the best Cuban food at their original restaurant on Dixie Highway in West Palm Beach for more than 25 years.

Who hasn’t heard about popular dishes like Cuban Sandwich, Camarones al Ajillo, Congris Rice, Pollo Frito con Mojo, Platano Maduro Frito, and many other delicious items from the traditional Cuban cuisine that is so ubiquitous in Florida?

This place is more than just a restaurant selling typical Cuban meals—rice and beans, Ropa Vieja, and potato, yucca, or plantain. It is a destination within the city for all things Cuban.
