From CityPlace to Rosemary Square to The Square to CityPlace again

To the locals, it has always been CityPlace, regardless of the numerous name changes. Although change is a constant, the hope is that CityPlace will continue to be a beacon of community connection and a hub for cultural celebration.

One of West Palm Beach’s most vibrant destinations is undergoing yet another remarkable transformation. The city’s iconic hub of entertainment, The Square, is stepping into a new identity—or rather, it is repositioning to its familiar name—CityPlace. With the dawn of May 1st, a fresh chapter began, promising an exciting evolution that reflects the pulse of our dynamic community moving forward.

What began as a central gathering place has blossomed into a multifaceted community hub, embracing the essence of live, work, play, and stay experiences. Over the past five years, The Square has grown and evolved, mirroring the expansion of the surrounding neighborhood into a thriving district.

According to Related, the decision to rebrand as CityPlace stems from a desire to better align with the spirit and energy of the evolving locale. As the area’s boundaries expanded from Quadrille Boulevard to Sapodilla Avenue and Evernia Street to Hilton West Palm Beach, it became clear that the identity needed to reflect this broader scope. CityPlace embodies this essence—a dynamic destination pulsating with life, culture, and possibility.

But this change isn’t merely cosmetic. Alongside the new name comes a host of enhancements aimed at enriching the experience for all who visit.

The website that serves as a digital gateway to the myriad offerings and attractions that await within the vibrant precinct has already transitioned to Cityplace.com.

Strolling through the streets, dining, or simply soaking in the vibrant atmosphere, CityPlace invited us to be part of something truly special. For locals who witnessed its birth and growth 20 years ago, it always remained CityPlace, no matter how many times a new name was forced upon us.

And while change is inevitable, we hope that CityPlace will always remain committed to being a symbol of community connection and cultural celebration. Maybe the Movie theater or stand-up comedy club will return, or the live music concerts will make a comeback.

We miss those as much as we missed the name CityPlace.
