Mandel Public Library Providing Free Digital Services

Social distancing does not have to be difficult, it can be entertaining, educational and engaging when you have the right tools. Use this time to get caught up on books, music, movies…you name it.

Social distancing does not have to be difficult, it can be entertaining, educational and engaging when you have the right tools. The Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach is going online to provide kids, teens, and adults some tools to get them through this time and make it fun.

Your favorite librarians will be creating social media content and activities to help pass the time at home from singalongs to writing clubs. Plus, they are at work sourcing and sharing a lot of wonderful social content (so you don’t have to) to keep you and your family busy and entertained while social distancing including crafts, drawings, storytimes, virtual field trips, news sources, digital resources and more. Librarians are here to support and elevate their patrons, as they have always done, and maybe bring some cheer to your days at home. Just “like” the Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach Facebook page to get all of the latest updates, activities, and content.

Social distancers are also using this time to get caught up on books, music, movies…you name it. Those who don’t have subscription services like Netflix and Audible need not fret.  The Mandel Public Library of West Palm Beach offers millions of titles online in their digital library…all for FREE! Library cardholders can access tons of digital offerings including e-books and audiobooks, streaming TV and movies, music downloads, news, databases and much more, including lots for the kids and even materials in Spanish.

If you didn’t already have a library card, you can get one from home by visiting wpbcitylibrary.org or calling 561-868-7701. And you don’t have to be a resident of West Palm Beach to get their library card, you can live anywhere and access materials online. Once you get your card, you can connect 24/7 to our digital library at wpb.org/digitallibrary and start enjoying your social distancing a little bit more.
