Last year —March 4th to March 6th— Florida’s music fans experienced Okeechobee Music Fest in its inaugural year. The event proved to be Florida’s biggest new festival, a new music, and an art festival that during three days and nights, featured more than 80 bands and DJs in 5 stages right in the middle of fantastic grounds near Lake Okeechobee.
Okeechobee Music Fest was a game-changer, making Florida a top destination for music events. Camping facilities, a yoga center, an art studio and five stages for music performances nestled into a spot where all it mattered was music.
The organizers’ envision was not only to become Florida’s biggest camping festival ever but to be added to a list that music fans around the country are familiar with —“Bonnaroo“ and “Coachella“. I went to Bonnaroo this year and I am confident that Okeechobee Music Festival will surpass Bonnaroo by a long shot pretty soon. The 2016 OMF’s lineup left little doubt it will definitively be!
Okeechobee Music Fest is a more intimate experience. For the first year, the capacity was about half the size of other major American festivals. The 3-Day GA Passes included parking, tent camping and access to all three days of the festival. One campsite was provided for each vehicle, and each campsite held up to eight people — although four to six people per site were recommended to optimize comfort. A 3-Day GA Pass was also allowed to anyone traveling back and forth daily and they could park in the day-parking area at no additional cost.
Fans made the most out of their weekend with the ‘Eternal Sunshine’, a VIP Experience which is a variety of Tent and RV Rental options —a VIP Boutique Camping Experience, or a Super VIP Luxury Tour Bus— customized to give each fan an experience to never forget.

Over 800 acres of pristine grasslands, clear lakes, and exotic tropical woodlands are the sites carefully prepared to capture its natural beauty and give the festival an intimate feeling.
Revelers enjoyed signature venues like Aquachobee that provided the perfect place to relax and hang out by the lakeside swimming beach and bar. The Lost Jungle offered an immersive dusk-til-dawn dance music experience. An assortment of spectacular multi-media art installations dotted the landscape surrounding the wooden VIP camping areas.
Okeechobee Music Fest featured a wide array of locally sourced treats from some of Florida’s most popular food trucks, craft beer makers, and artisanal purveyors. Environmental and other socially conscious campaigns were presented, as well as yoga, meditation, and holistic workshops.
