Palm Beach Outlets Voted the #1 Southern Shopping

Palm Beach Outlets has been voted the #1 Southern Shopping spotting the 2016 Groups Today Readers’ Choice Awards. The outlet will be featured in the November/December issue of Groups Today magazine.

Out of 14 shopping destinations, Palm Beach Outlets was voted #1. Groups Today — a travel planning tool for travel planners — has been conducting the Readers’ Choice Awards since 2011. Every year, Groups Today surveys its readers and asks about their favorite places to stay, visit, and eat, along with their favorite suppliers to use. From marketing best practices to the latest industry trends and from business management tips to insightful destination news, Groups Today magazine gives readers authentic, balanced content.

Glenn Jergensen, Palm Beach County Tourist Development Council Executive Director, said that shopping was among the top five activities of the 6.9 million visitors to the area this past year.

“Visiting our 47 miles of beaches is their number one activity, but everyone needs a break to do some exploring and shopping,” said Jergensen. “The addition of Palm Beach Outlets has added one more attraction for our visitors to Palm Beach County to experience the ‘Best of Everything’ we have to offer.”

Since its opening in February 2014, Palm Beach Outlets has consistently attracted tourists from outside of the state and country, with a majority coming from Brazil and Canada, along with Argentina, Columbia, Italy, Germany and others. In the U.S., the majority of visitors coming from outside of Florida are from New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island and Pennsylvania.

“We are honored to be singled out for this distinction,” said Greg Farrington, general manager of Palm Beach Outlets. “To be recognized by those who visit the area and shop here validates our efforts.”

In addition, Asheville Outlets and Outlets of Little Rock, which were also developed by New England Development, were Top 5 Finalists.

Palm Beach Outlets features over 100 stores including brand favorites Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Ann Taylor Factory Store, Banana Republic Factory Store, Brooks Brothers Factory Store, J.Crew | crewcuts Factory, Kenneth Cole, Nike Factory Store, Tommy Hilfiger, Under Armour and Vera Bradley. Located directly off Interstate 95 on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard in West Palm Beach, the Outlets is adjacent to Marketplace at the Outlets, which features a dynamic mix of approximately 20 stores, including Bed Bath & Beyond, DSW Shoe Warehouse, Nordstrom Rack, Old Navy, PetSmart, Pier 1 Imports, T.J. Maxx, Ulta Beauty, and Whole Foods Market. For more information about what to shop, current and upcoming events at the outlet, visit their site www.palmbeachoutlets.com
