As we are getting ready for Florida’s largest Music and Art Festival by the Waterfront, let’s travel back in time and remember one of the most epic performances at SunFest 2013 and in the history of the festival.
Phillip Phillips Concert at Sunfest 2013 (May 4)
Phillip Phillips is an American singer-songwriter who won the eleventh season of American Idol on May 23, 2012. His coronation song, “Home,” released after his win, became the best selling of all coronation songs. His debut album The World from the Side of the Moon was released on November 19, 2012. A second album, Behind the Light, was released on May 19, 2014.
The SunFest 2013 lineup included Kendrick Lamar, Train, Smashing Pumpkins, but this handsome, gentle musician who is a very humble and reserved person was one of the most acclaimed acts. Phillips’ coronation song, “Home,” was a great success during his long performance gig in SunFest.
Sun Fest annually rocks South Florida from the last Wednesday of April to the first Sunday of May. The festival features Three State-of-The Art Live Music Stages showcasing over 50 great bands of local and national performing artists. Delicious food, exciting arts and crafts exhibitions and fabulous family fun defines Sun Fest’s rich tradition.
The beautiful West Palm Beach waterfront lights up with Florida’s incredible spring time weather and the music never stops! As the brilliant seaside sun sets the heavenly stars shine and ignite Florida’s and the Southeast’s largest fireworks display over the sparkling ocean complete with a FM radio simulcast sound track to embellish the spectacular visuals.
Sun Fest memories last forever!
