In “New Artists at The Peach,” Sandra Schulman profiles one of West Palm Beach’s most exciting cultural collectives — a creative hub known simply as The Peach. Now three years strong, this artist-run space on Georgia Avenue offers not only a venue for creation but also a thriving community rooted in collaboration, passion, and purpose.

Founded by cultural trailblazer Rodney Mayo and led day-to-day by artist Craig McInnis, The Peach is home to six unique studios, a gallery space, monthly art walks, and a restaurant that feeds the soul as much as the stomach. But joining this vibrant space is about more than artistic skill — it’s about showing up with intention and contributing to the community’s creative energy.
Schulman introduces five of The Peach’s resident artists, each of whom brings a distinct voice and vision:
- Craig McInnis, muralist and mentor, continues to expand his reach with massive public art projects while anchoring the collective’s spirit.
- Pamela Tatti, a sustainable fashion designer, transforms recycled textiles into couture and teaches the next generation to “waste not.”
- Victoria Monell, painter and muralist, blends emotional portraiture with vivid marine life in her butterfly-winged women and sea creatures.
- Kass O’Brien, ceramicist, draws from South Florida’s natural textures to create elegant, organic works in clay.
- Nick Albano, street-inspired portraitist and high school art teacher, uses expressive faces to connect viewers to something deeper and universal.
Together, these artists represent The Peach’s dynamic blend of disciplines, backgrounds, and missions. More than a workspace, The Peach is a launchpad for authentic, connected, and community-driven art in Palm Beach County.
