The Woods Jupiter

Since star golfer Tiger Woods is fading at the game with various back injuries and personal issues, he has a hole in one at the new The Woods in Harbourside, Jupiter. This swank eatery was slammed on a recent visit there mid-week and pre-season. With an icy cool palette of slate gray and ivory lighting, black leather booths, long pleated drapes, high top tables and lots of TV sets turned to ESPN channels, it’s an upscale sports bars to the max.

Stylish, extravagant – printed napkins are everywhere, hot towels are provided between courses – the menu is heavy on fish, steaks, generous starters and there is a cigar bar for the stogie set.

Aside from two photo based artworks of Tiger himself discreetly hung by the back restrooms, you would not know it was his place, as other similar restaurants usually have big blown up obnoxious photos of the football/baseball/basketball star hanging front and center – think Shula’s and Marino’s with their framed jerseys and helmets and visages plastered all over. This is all very first class in a prime location at Harbourside with valet parking and next to the amphitheater. Woods has his business offices on the upper floors and was said to have been greeting guests personally during the opening week.

Portions are generous and staff is extremely courteous. The noise level was a bit high inside, but the outdoor patio was a nice place to have some wine, calamari, flatbread with goat cheese and carmelized onions, and a key lime cake for desert. Woods is said to have spent upwards of $8 million on the place, and it shows.

The golfer’s new eatery that opened Monday, August 10th in Jupiter’s Harbourside Place offers American cuisine with comfortable booth and table seating either in indoor or outdoor lounges, allowing patrons to dine while watching sporting events on television screens planted throughout the restaurant.

West Palm Beach locals who like to explore fabulous places around the city for sure will spend a great time at Harbourside Place on the corner of U.S. 1 and Indiantown Road in Jupiter and The Woods Jupiter in Harbourside is must-do. The restaurant is located at 200 U.S. 1, Jupiter, FL 33477 and more information can be found at its website:
