Yesteryear Village Grand Opening

It’s official! Yesteryear Village at the South Florida Fairgrounds is now a year-round attraction. Today volunteers, dignitaries and the public came together for a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony to commemorate Yesteryear Village Grand Opening.

The ceremony included interpreters from pre-1940 presenting their stories, a barbershop quintet, old-fashioned refreshments and entertainment.

You can visit this living history park where interpreters share their stories about life prior to 1940. The village hours are Thursday, Friday & Saturday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. each day. Admission is $10 adults, $7 seniors 60+, $7 children (5-11 YRS. OLD), 5 and under, FREE.

This is a unique opportunity to chat with the town residents, and listen as they tell you what their daily life was really like prior to 1940! For more information, visit the website, www.southfloridafair.com.
