Under the warm glow of the Norton Museum of Art, music lovers will soon be swept into an intimate world of strings, melody, and masterful storytelling. This April, the Chamber Music Society of Palm Beach (CMSPB) presents an unforgettable evening, uniting some of the world’s finest musicians for performances that celebrate the charm, wit, and soul of chamber music.
On April 24, CMSPB turns its attention to Schubert’s beloved Trout Quintet, a piece that has charmed audiences for generations. The evening brings together an all-star lineup: Sussmann, Milena Pajaro-van de Stadt on viola, Clive Greensmith on cello, Blake Hinson on bass, and Gloria Chien on piano.
The program offers an intriguing pairing:
Louise Farrenc’s Piano Quintet No. 1, Op. 30, a rediscovered 19th-century gem that shines with symphonic grandeur.
Schubert’s Piano Quintet in A Major, D. 667 “Trout”, a work rich with warmth, lyricism, and the composer’s signature joyfulness.
Together, these pieces highlight the evolution of chamber music—one deeply familiar, the other an underappreciated treasure.
Beyond their artistic brilliance, these performances reflect the CMSPB’s mission: to bring world-class chamber music to South Florida while nurturing the next generation of musicians. For over a decade, CMSPB has introduced audiences to celebrated ensembles and soloists, offering not just concerts but a true immersion in the transformative power of music.
Set in the elegant Norton Museum of Art, these evenings will be more than performances—they will be experiences where sound, space, and storytelling converge.
Tickets are $75 and can be purchased at chambermusicpalmbeach.org.
